Our Chief Marketing Officer and the magic hand behind all of PASG’s marketing and publications— Nonyelum “Nonye” Ogbodo, a passionate creative director from the Bay Area and a proud Nigerian native, began her artistic journey at just three years old. With a collection of art awards under her belt, she gained recognition in her community for the captivating quality of her work. This talent earned her an early admission scholarship to the prestigious Academy of Art University in San Francisco. However, after just 2 semesters at the Academy, she decided to pursue a more traditional educational path. Nonyelum then moved to Los Angeles, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration with a focus on Public Policy for Political Science (Legal Studies) and a minor in Design, along with a Professional Studies Certificate in Design for Media Publications from California State University, Dominguez Hills.
After completing her undergraduate studies, Nonyelum secured another prestigious art scholarship, which allowed her to enroll in a post-baccalaureate program in Visual Communications at The New School's Parsons School of Design in New York City. From that moment on, she was determined to make a significant impact in the world of sports marketing and publications. This ambition led her to remarkable roles with some of America's most beloved sports brands, including the AFL (San Jose Saber Cats), ESPN (The Magazine), NHL (NY Islanders), and the NBA (The Brooklyn Nets). One of her standout achievements was being chosen from nearly 10,000 applicants to direct framework with Major League Baseball’s International in Sydney, Australia. At MLB Australia, Nonyelum became the youngest Creative Director of Media Publications within the MLB franchise, fulfilling her dream of holding a creative director position at a major corporation.
After a decade immersed in corporate branding and marketing publication design, it became abundantly clear that her true passion was in Sustainable Architecture and Commercial Real Estate Development, particularly in the realm of Professional Sports Stadiums and Arenas. This passion propelled her to secure yet another scholarship to the University of Miami, where she earned a Master’s in Real Estate Development and Urbanism, as well as a Master of Science in Architecture, both focusing on Sustainable Architecture Material Design for Sports Venues. Beyond her extensive knowledge in Professional Sports Marketing and Sports Venue Development, Nonye is also a Licensed Real Estate professional in the state of California. She aspires to leverage her license to assist athletes of all levels acquire and develop athletic spaces, that will enrich the lives of youth in their communities.
